{ 5 tips on how to act like a #girlboss ft. Basic Invite clear business cards }

boss babe clear plastic business cards
  1. Be a morning person- Wake up, make your bed, and have that cup of coffee to give you the energy for a productive day. When you start your day early you will have more time for self care, like working out, planning your week out, or getting whatever you've been putting aside all week long done.

  2. Set goals- This is kind of an obvious one but a lot of people don't follow through on their goals. Set some realistic goals, write them down, and hold yourself accountable to each one. The best way to set and achieve goals is to write them down somewhere you will see everyday and include how you plan on reaching that goal. For example, if your goal is to lose those extra pounds you've put on after all the summer traveling you've done, write down how you will get there. Maybe you plan on going to the gym 3 days out of the week, or maybe you plan on only eating home cooked meals and not eating out. Make sure you put that down on that paper, dry erase board, or whatever your using and check it off when you accomplish each goal.

  3. Be in charge of your own life- This one is so important! Always remember you are in charge of your own life. Do not let anyone bring you down or make you feel like you can't do something. Always believe in yourself first. Believe that if you want something bad enough you will get it. I personally believe that you really can think things into reality. When you have the right mindset and positive outlook on life, good things will come to you and your dreams will be possible.

  4. Don't settle, ever- Never give up on your dreams and try to take the easy way out. If you really are passionate about something don't just settle for the first thing that comes your way, fight for what you truly want, I promise you, going the extra mile will be worth it. This tip should not only be applied to your goals but also in your everyday life. No one should ever settle, get what you want girl, you deserve the best!

  5. Make business cards- This is something I think a lot of people including myself don't realize is so important for being a #girlboss. Just recently I was reached out to by a company, Basic Invite, asking me if I would like to try out their product in return for an honest review on my blog. I had the opportunity to pick out some business cards and design them to match my personal style. As a blogger I never really thought about needing business cards, which is silly of me because blogging is not just a hobby, it's my business too! As I was browsing the website I had the hardest time making a decision because, omg, they have so many cute design options and you can customize the colors, fonts and sizes too! What really sets Basic Invite apart from other stationery websites is that they allow their customers almost unlimited color options as well as instant previews online. Cool right? Something else I find really awesome that they offer are the custom samples. This is actually one of the few websites that allow you to order a printed sample to test out the quality and see exactly what the product will look like before you place your final order. When you go to their website you will see they offer different types of business cards. The ones I picked out for myself were their clear plastic business cards. I love how the ones I customized are easy to read, simple, yet definitely make a statement. Some things I made sure to include on my business cards were, my name (obvi.), what I do ( fashion & lifestyle blogger), my email for contact, and of course a big one these days, my instagram handle. If you want to get really fancy with your business cards try out the foil cards. These come in silver, gold, and my favorite, rose gold. You can choose between raised or flat foil on all of Basic Invite's foil designs. Side note, to be a real #girlboss, make sure you send out your holiday cards on time. The holidays are going to sneak up on us before we know it, as they usually always do. I will be using Basic Invite this year to design my Merry Christmas cards as well. They have over 40 different colors of invitations as well as envelopes- how cool is that!? What's even neater is their address capturing service which allows you to share a link through Insta, FB, Twitter, or whatever you're using to request the addresses from your friends and family and then they store them in your online account. If your interested, they will even print out the recipient's address on all Christmas card orders for free!
