{ 7 ways to being more productive & positive this year }

  1. Wake up 30 mins earlier than usual. Honestly I love sleep more than you know but I realized waking up even 30 minutes earlier allows me to get a lot more done in the morning before I go to work for the day. This is the time when I am able to relax, scroll through Instagram, read my emails, check my stats for my blog and just take a few more minutes to enjoy my coffee and have breakfast before running out for the day.  
  2. Work out. I feel like this is always such a hard thing to do when you haven’t worked out in awhile but once you finally make it to the gym you will be more likely to want to keep going back. The role a workout can play on your mind and body can be quite beneficial to being more productive. Every time I go to the gym I always get this sudden burst of energy and feel like I can do anything! This is a great way to get your day started if you like to work out in the morning. 
  3. Read motivating books/ blog posts ( like this one haha). This year I have really been all about reading. I noticed the books I find the most interest in are ones that are inspiring and motivating. Every time I read even one chapter I always feel like, okay I got this, now let me go and do something big! I will usually set bigger goals and immediately start working towards them because I feel really inspired. 
  4. Find something to look forward to in each day. Whatever it may be, when you wake up in the morning think about even one thing that you are looking forward to that day. Not going to lie most days the thing I look forward to is breakfast, lunch, or dinner lol but honestly there’s nothing wrong with that. My typical work day routine is not the most exciting but I try to plan something fun for after I’m out of work and I look forward to it all day. Sometimes it can just be a planned trip to target or Sephora that’ll make me excited for all day. 
  5. Take breaks. Working too hard or too long on one thing can make you feel totally burnt out  which in return will only make you want to do less. Fit some time in your day to take a 15-20 minute break and step away from your work.  If it’s nice outside, go take a little walk for a few minutes to refresh your mind.  A little sunshine and fresh air always helps to clear the mind and put you in a more positive mood. 
  6. Don’t get caught up in negativity and drama. Sometimes people tend to dwell on the negative stuff in life and just sort of forget how to move past that. I try to avoid the drama and the dramatic people I once had in my life and decided to leave behind because they only held me back. I try to always stay positive and look at the bright side of things. This is what helps me be in a much better mood and gives me the energy I need to get things done.  Negative thoughts and negative people cloud up your judgement and make you start feeling down about yourself and life in general. When you aren’t feeling super happy and excited how can you possibly want to do big things with your day, or better yet, your life? Let it all go! 
  7. Plan ahead. I love being organized and keeping a planner with me all the time. I jot down things I have to get done that day, groceries I need to buy, people I’m supposed to meet up with and even my goals for the day, week, or month.  Planning things out really helps things run a lot more smoothly because you will be better able to manage your time. Sometimes I like to plan out our meals for the week just so I know what I need to be prepared for.  This also lets me make sure we have all the things we need to make the meal and it can actually really help out to avoid giving into eating out. Blogging is another thing I like to plan out ahead of time. This gives me time to put together some ideas for posts, take photos and figure out my game plan. Without planning my posts out sometimes I’d forget that I haven’t posted in awhile. I really try to get posts up at least once a week usually on Mondays. This just works best for me and I seem to get the most traffic that day as well.
