{ The real reason I started blogging }

As some of you guys might know if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram I initially started out this website as a small online boutique. I honestly loved doing that although it did require a ton of work. I spent many days and sleepless nights searching, searching, and yup you guessed it, searching for the perfect products to sell on my website. I wanted things that were cute, affordable, unique, and made in the US. When I had launched my website and it was finally set up to my liking, I got really amazing feedback from family and friends. I had a few sales come in from people I didn't even know. It was really exciting and fun however I was investing more money into the business than I would be getting out, at least for a few years probably.

This is something a little random but I feel like I should share it with you. One day I picked up a  book called #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso. I instantly fell in love with the book and finished it within a day or two reading it whatever little extra time I had. This book inspired me and really motivated me to go for it. To follow my dream and to not be afraid of failure. This book inspired me that maybe the online boutique thing wasn't actually what I was passionate about doing but that blogging actually might be. I knew it will be a lot of work, a lot dedicated time, and consistency but I felt like this would be my thing. I of course knew that blogging can make you really good money someday, but I also knew it will take some time. The nice thing about blogging though is that I don't have to invest as much money as I did with the online boutique.

My first initial idea for blogging was to fall into the fashion/beauty niche. After all, those are things I really enjoy. However, a few posts in, I started to realize I really enjoyed to just document my life. To talk about things I love in my life; my successes, my failures, my husband, food, and all things in between. I also knew that eventually Cody and I would be ready to start a family and I really wanted to document that with this blog. I personally follow a lot of really amazing bloggers and I've seen them go through life changing moments through the content on their blog and it really made me realize just how awesome that will be for them to have that to read back on and remember exactly how they felt and what things they were going through at those times of their lives. Lifestyle blogging is basically an adult diary that is public and shared with anyone who finds interest in reading it. Blogging wasn't the easiest decision for me even after the #GIRLBOSS book inspired me to go for it and stop being afraid, I still had the fear of judgement, criticism, and embarrassment in the back of my mind, I mean after all I am literally telling you everything about my life.

We all know how cruel people can be behind a computer or phone screen, so of course anyone would be nervous to open up to a bunch of strangers who all have access to your "diary". I knew that at this point of my life I really no longer cared what other people think of me. I do my own thing, live my own life, try to be happy and work hard for a better future for myself, my husband, and our little bundle of joy that's currently the size of a lime in my belly. I notice people respond well to when I am honest and open about my life and that makes me so happy. I'm really glad that those who've been reading my blog and maybe even shopping my boutique when I had it up for the few months, continue to support me and encourage me. I don't blog to show off anything or to become rich overnight. I blog because I love it- I may not be the best at it still, but who cares, it's supposed to  be fun. So feel free to judge me on my grammar or ongoing sentences lol I'm just a girl typing up blogs sometimes half asleep but that's when my ideas flow!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, it's rather a very lengthy one. I hope that if you have a passion for something maybe this will give you that push and inspire you to just take that risk. What's there to lose? You will only regret the chances you didn't take. Who knows maybe one day I'll convince Cody to start a youtube vlogging channel with me haha. Would you guys watch that??! Let me know what you think! <3
